Thing 16 Google Docs

My first initial thought was communication and less paperwork. I also was thinking this would be a great way for our in school suspension person to collect information/assignments for students visiting for that particular day. I am planning on bringing this up to my principal once we return to work. The lady in charge is always running around gathering information on her students. I would think this would help her immensely and possibly put a bit of pressure on teachers who tend to slack and not get their work to her for the offending student!!

One of the problems we have at our school is OPEN computer lab time. It is difficult for teachers to use the labs when they want to and we have many students without computers at home. I have seen such panicked looks on students faces when teachers bring up working on computers. I always hear about parents not allowing kids on "their" computer, no computer, computer not working, no internet, no printer, etc.... That's the one big struggle with working at home collaborating on an assignment. The email issue could also be problematic with parents who REFUSE for their child to have one. Not sure what you would do with that. One thing that was mentioned on the video was the teacher knowing who was doing the lion's share of the work. Wow!! There's a concept!!!! We all know there are kids who work and kids who watch!! Guess those days would be over for the watchers!!!! :-)

Wish I had had something like this when I was younger and had friends proof read and add their .02 to tpapers. I am trying to plan a vacation/potential cruise for next summer and was already thinking this would be a great way to get thoughts, suggestions, interest levels of anyone wanting to go within our family.
