Thing 11

I have been posting comments on blogs for a long time. I have "met" some awesome people out there and it's amazing what happens. I have an adopted son. Through blogs/email I have become a godmother to a child I have never met. I have been able to take a vacation to Miami because of someone I have "met" online. Being a single parent has connected me to a community of others through blogs and I have received a lot of support. I have randomly stumbled upon blogs and will throw a comment in never expecting to hear back from that particular blogger. It opens up a new world that never existed for me just a few years ago. I just remembered when I first started posting comments that I would feel a bit offended if I never heard back. Some bloggers are busier than others and I realized it wasn't personal, just the way they operated. I learned about a mom who uploads everything to Blurb from her blog and publishes it in hardback form for her daughter. Very cool idea!!!

  3. I am amazed at all that you have gotten from blogging. While I feel that I am pretty tech savvy, blogging has not been something that I have been interested in. Even on things like Facebook, I like to look at what others post but I am not one to post myself. I guess I will have to try to find some blogs that really interest me. Also, loved the idea about publishing all of the things that are posted.
